Guido Ruggiero
Guido Ruggiero is Professor of History and Cooper Fellow at the University of Miami, renowned for his prolific scholarship on Italian Renaissance history, focusing on gender, sex, crime, violence, magic, science, and everyday life in Venetian and other Italian archives.[1][4] He earned his BA from the University of Colorado in 1966, MA in 1967, and PhD in 1972 from the University of California, Los Angeles.[5] His notable books include *Violence in Early Renaissance Venice* (1980), *The Boundaries of Eros* (1985), *Binding Passions* (1993), and *Machiavelli in Love* (2007).[1]
