Guido N. J. Tytgat MD PhD FRCP

Professor Guido N. J. Tytgat MD PhD FRCP is a renowned Belgian gastroenterologist born on December 25, 1937, in Izegem, Belgium. He graduated from medical school at the University of Louvain with an MD maxima cum laude in 1963 and obtained his PhD there in 1971, later serving as Professor at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam.[1]
