Gretchen Whitmer

Gretchen Whitmer is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 49th Governor of Michigan since 2019. Born on August 23, 1971, in Lansing, Michigan, she earned a BA in communications and a JD from Michigan State University, served in the Michigan House (2001-2006) and Senate (2006-2015), and was Ingham County Prosecutor in 2016 before her gubernatorial election.[1][2][5]
