Gregory R. Ciottone MD FACEP FFSEM

Gregory R. Ciottone, MD, FACEP, FFSEM (born 1965), is an American physician specializing in disaster medicine and counter-terrorism medicine, serving as a professor of clinical emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School and founding director of the BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine. He is President Emeritus of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM), has trained over 120 fellows, and authored over 100 scholarly works, including serving as Editor-in-Chief of Ciottone’s Disaster Medicine (3rd edition, Elsevier). With 25 years as an emergency physician and over 500 aeromedical helicopter missions, he has led responses to major disasters and consulted for the White House Medical Unit.
