Gordon Cotler

Gordon Cotler was an American author known for his novel *The Bottletop Affair* (1959), adapted into the 1962 film *The Horizontal Lieutenant*, and he served as a Japanese interpreter for US Army Intelligence during World War II.[1] He wrote multiple books, including the popular *Shooting Script*, with 18 titles listed on Goodreads.[3] Cotler was described as a brilliant writer and witty, loving man, survived by his wife Marta and daughters Amy, Joanna, and Ellen.[4]
