Giuseppe Verdi

Giuseppe Verdi (1813–1901) was an Italian composer renowned for his operas, including Rigoletto, Il trovatore, and La traviata, which established him as a master of the genre after the era of Rossini, Donizetti, and Bellini. Born near Busseto to a family of moderate means, he received musical training supported by patron Antonio Barezzi and achieved fame with Nabucco at La Scala. Verdi also composed sacred works like the Requiem and served in Italian politics, including the Senate.
