Ginny Rorby
Ginny Rorby is an American author of middle-grade and young adult novels that connect children to the natural world, including award-winners like *Hurt Go Happy* (2008 Schneider Family Book Award) and *Lost in the River of Grass* (2013 Sunshine State Young Readers Award).[1][2] Raised in Winter Park, Florida, she worked as a Pan American flight attendant, earned a biology degree from the University of Miami and an MFA in Creative Writing from Florida International University, and now lives on the northern California coast.[2] She serves as president of the Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference and advocates for animal welfare.[1][2]
