Giampiero Neri

Giampiero Neri (born Giampietro Pontiggia) was an Italian poet born in Erba, Lombardy, on April 7, 1927, and known for his concise, dry, and unembellished style veined with melancholy and humor[1][2]. He published his first poetry collection in 1976 and was part of the fourth generation of the Lombard literary line, working as a bank employee while cultivating literary and entomological interests[1][3]. Neri died in Milan on February 15, 2023, at the age of 95[1][2].
