Geronimo Stilton (Author)
Elisabetta Dami, the creator behind the pseudonym Geronimo Stilton, is an Italian children's author born in Milan, Italy, who began working in her family's publishing house at age 13 and started writing her own stories at 19. Inspired by volunteering with sick children after learning she couldn't have kids of her own, she developed the adventurous Geronimo Stilton series, first published in 2000, which has sold over 180 million copies worldwide and been translated into 49 languages. A world traveler and adventurer, she earned a pilot's license, ran marathons, and infused her real-life experiences into her whimsical mouse tales.[1][2][3]
