Gerko Egert

Gerko Egert is a German scholar of media and performance studies who currently serves as an Akademischer Rat (lecturer) at the Institute for Theatre Studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. He completed his PhD in 2014 on touch in contemporary dance and co-founded the experimental publishing platform nocturne in 2020 to explore pedagogy between academia, art, and activism.
