Gerald Hammond
Gerald Hammond (1926–2015) was a Scottish author of crime novels and mysteries, known for series featuring gunsmith Keith Calder and dog breeder John Cunningham, drawing on his expertise in firearms and hunting dogs. Originally trained as an architect, he graduated from Aberdeen School of Architecture in 1952, worked for thirty years in the field, and retired to Scotland in 1982 to write full-time, producing over fifty novels under pseudonyms like Arthur Douglas and Dalby Holden.
