Gerald Brenan

Gerald Brenan (1894–1987) was a British writer and Hispanist best known for his books on Spain, especially "The Spanish Labyrinth" and the memoir "South from Granada." He spent much of his life in Spain and became a noted chronicler of Spanish history, culture, and the intellectual circles of his era.
