George Whitead

George Whitehead (1636–1723) was a leading early Quaker preacher, author, and activist for religious freedom in England. He traveled widely as a minister, endured imprisonment for his beliefs, and wrote extensively on Quaker faith and practice while lobbying for toleration before English royalty.
