George Sheehan

George Sheehan was an American physician, runner, and writer born in Brooklyn in 1918. He became a leading voice in the recreational running movement, known for books such as "Running and Being" and for writing on the physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits of running. He died on November 1, 1993, in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.[2][5]
