George Samuel Clason
George Samuel Clason (1874–1957) was an American author and businessman born in Louisiana, Missouri, who attended the University of Nebraska and served in the Spanish-American War. He founded the Clason Map Company in Denver, Colorado, publishing the first road atlas of the United States and Canada, and is best known for his 1926 book *The Richest Man in Babylon*, a collection of parables on thrift and financial success distributed as pamphlets by banks and insurance companies.[1][2][3]
