George P. Prigatano

George P. Prigatano is a clinical psychologist who earned his Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University in Ohio on August 31, 1972, and is renowned for pioneering holistic neuropsychological rehabilitation programs, starting one at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City in the early 1980s.[1] He served as chairman of the Department of Neuropsychology at Barrow Neurological Institute at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, and is now emeritus in that role.[2] His work emphasizes therapeutic alliances and milieu-oriented approaches to improve psychosocial outcomes for brain-injured patients, including employment and emotional well-being.[1]
