George Frederick Clarke
George Frederick Clarke (1883–1974) was a Canadian author, historian, dentist, and amateur archaeologist from Woodstock, New Brunswick. He wrote novels, short stories, and books on local history and salmon fishing, including Six Salmon Rivers and Another and Song of the Reel, while campaigning against the Mactaquac Dam and amassing a large archaeological collection. The University of New Brunswick awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1968 for his contributions.[1][2]
