George Emile Bisharat

George Emile Bisharat is an American professor of law at UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and a frequent commentator on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Middle East politics. Born in 1954 in Topeka, Kansas, he holds a JD and PhD from Harvard University and has written extensively on law, anthropology, and Islamic law in the context of Palestine and Israel. He is also a blues musician known as 'Big Harp George,' releasing albums that earned award nominations.
