George E. Ham
George E. Ham (born 1939 in Iowa) earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Iowa State University and advanced through the ranks in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Minnesota before becoming Head of the Department of Agronomy at Kansas State University from 1981 to 1990. During his tenure, he initiated new programs, recruited faculty, oversaw the department's move to Throckmorton Hall, and later served as Associate Dean of Agriculture and Associate Director of the Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station in 1989.
