George 1642-1715 Hickes

George Hickes (1642–1715) was an English divine, scholar, and nonjuror who served as Dean of Worcester before losing the post for refusing the oaths after the Glorious Revolution. He became known for his writings on theology, church history, and early English and Germanic languages, and later took part in the nonjuring episcopal succession.
