Georg Steller

Georg Wilhelm Steller was a German-born naturalist, zoologist, physician, and explorer who took part in the Great Northern Expedition and helped document the flora and fauna of Alaska and the North Pacific. He is remembered for pioneering observations in natural history and for several species named after him.[1][2]
