Geoffrey White

Geoffrey White is an Emeritus Professor of Anthropology at the University of Hawai'i Mānoa, renowned for his extensive ethnographic fieldwork in the Solomon Islands since 1975 and his publications on identity, history, and cultural politics in Oceania. He is also a distinguished academic with a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Otago, recognized internationally for his research on discriminative and remembering processes. His notable works include 'Identity Through History: Living Stories in a Solomon Islands Society' and 'Memorializing Pearl Harbor: Unfinished Histories and the Work of Public History'.
