Geoffrey Burn

Geoffrey Burnstock was a British biomedical scientist and neurobiologist best known for discovering purinergic signaling, including the role of ATP as an extracellular signaling molecule. He spent much of his career at University College London, where he led the Department of Anatomy and Embryology from 1975 to 1997 and became a major figure in autonomic nervous system research.
