Geoffrey Budworth

Geoffrey Budworth was a co-founder of the International Guild of Knot Tyers (IGKT) and its founding editor of Knotting Matters. A former Metropolitan Police Inspector and knotting consultant, he developed a passion for knots through his experiences as a sea scout and sea cadet, particularly after seeing his first ornamental bell-rope. He authored numerous books on knots, including The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Knots & Ropework and The Handy Book of Knots.[1][3][4][5]
