Geoff Crowther

Geoff Crowther was a British travel writer and one of the early contributors to Lonely Planet and BIT, where he helped shape the style of backpacker and alternative travel guidebooks. Born in Yorkshire, he became known for titles such as Africa on the Cheap and Southeast Asia on a Shoestring, and he died in 2021 from complications related to dementia.
