Garzone

Father Joseph F. Girzone was an American Carmelite priest and author best known for his 'Joshua' series of novels, beginning with 'Joshua' published in 1983, which became a massive bestseller selling up to 30,000 copies a day. Ordained in 1955, he served in ministries including with gang members in the Bronx and as a pastor in Albany before retiring in 1981 due to health concerns and turning to writing full-time. He founded the Joshua Foundation in 1995 to promote knowledge of Jesus and lived in Albany, New York.
