Gary C. Jacobson

Gary C. Jacobson is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, recognized as one of the premier scholars in the study of Congressional campaigns and elections.[1] He has authored numerous influential books including Money in Congressional Elections, The Politics of Congressional Elections, and The Electoral Origins of Divided Government, with his current research focusing on the electoral basis of partisan polarization in Congress.[1][4]
