Garth Stein
Garth Stein is an American author and film producer best known for his New York Times bestselling novel The Art of Racing in the Rain (2008), which has sold over 6 million copies and been translated into 38 languages. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Seattle, he earned a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.F.A. in film from the same institution, and previously worked as an award-winning documentary filmmaker. He lives in Seattle with his family and is also a playwright and co-founder of Seattle7Writers.
