Gale
Patrick Gale is a British novelist born on the Isle of Wight in 1962, where he spent his early years while his father served as governor of Wandsworth Prison, before growing up in Winchester. He published his debut novel, The Aerodynamics of Pork, at age 21 and has since written over twenty acclaimed novels, including A Place Called Winter and Take Nothing With You. He now lives on a farm near Land's End in Cornwall, with interests in singing and gardening.
