Gail Simone
Gail Simone is an American comic book writer best known for her acclaimed runs on DC's Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, and Secret Six, as well as Marvel's Deadpool and Dynamite's Red Sonja.[1][2][3] She began her career with the influential 'Women in Refrigerators' website and a humor column on Comic Book Resources, transitioning to professional writing with The Simpsons before entering mainstream superhero comics.[1][3][4] Simone studied theater at the University of Oregon, worked as a hairdresser, and is recognized for advocating strong female and diverse characters in comics.[1][4][6]
