G. Wilson Knight
George Richard Wilson Knight (1897–1985) was an English literary critic, scholar, actor, and theatrical director, best known for his influential Shakespeare criticism, especially The Wheel of Fire. He taught at institutions including the University of Toronto, Stowe School, and the University of Leeds, where he became a leading figure in Shakespeare studies and was admired for his original, myth-focused readings of literature.
