Fritz Spiegl
Fritz Spiegl (1926-2003) was an Austrian-born English musician, journalist, broadcaster, and humorist who lived in Britain from 1939. He was a flautist with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and compiled the Radio 4 UK Theme in 1978. His diverse career included work as a radio broadcaster, author of books about music, football and language, and impresario known for his April Fool's concerts.
