Freya Stark

Freya Stark was a British-Italian explorer and travel writer known for her highly personal books about the Middle East, Afghanistan, and other regions she explored.[1][2] She was one of the first non-Arabs to travel through the southern Arabian Desert in modern times and published more than two dozen books, along with autobiographical works and essays.[1][2]
