Frederik Van Eeden
Frederik Willem van Eeden (1860-1932) was a Dutch writer, psychiatrist, and social visionary who was a leading member of the Tachtigers literary movement and co-founder of the influential journal De Nieuwe Gids. He is known for his symbolic literary works such as 'The Quest' (1885) and 'The Deeps of Deliverance' (1900), as well as his pioneering contributions to psychiatry, including coining the term 'lucid dreaming' and establishing one of the world's first institutes for psychotherapy.
