Frederick Crews

Frederick Campbell Crews was an American literary critic and essayist, best known for his skeptical critiques of Sigmund Freud and psychoanalysis as well as his work on modern literature. He was a professor of English at the University of California, Berkeley, and a prominent voice in the 'Freud Wars' of the 1980s and 1990s.
