Franklin W Dixon
Franklin W. Dixon is a pen name used by multiple ghostwriters for the Stratemeyer Syndicate to author the Hardy Boys mystery series, starting in 1927, and the Ted Scott Flying Stories.[1][2][3] The most prominent writer under this pseudonym was Leslie McFarlane, a Canadian journalist who wrote 19 of the first 25 Hardy Boys books between 1927 and 1946.[3][4][6] This house name allowed the syndicate to produce numerous juvenile adventure novels while presenting them as the work of a single author.[1][5]
