Frank Shaw
Frank Hubert Shaw (1878-1960) was a UK naval officer and prolific author, particularly known for his extensive contributions to boys' adventure stories and science fiction, publishing under numerous pseudonyms including Frank Cleveland, Archibald Guthrie, Grenville Hammerton, Frank Hubert, and Ernest Winchfield, with an estimated 7,000 stories and over 70 books to his credit.[1][3] He served as a captain in the navy during World War One, drawing from his experiences as a captain of a commercial liner in works like 'Atlantic Nights'.[4] Notable titles include 'Secret of the Sargasso Sea' (1920) and 'Outlaws of the Air' (1927).[1]
