Frank Herbert

Frank Herbert was an American science fiction author best known for his 1965 novel Dune and its sequels, which explore themes of ecology, human evolution, and mysticism. Born in Tacoma, Washington, he worked as a journalist before achieving success with Dune, which won the Hugo and Nebula Awards. He authored over two dozen novels and died in 1986 from complications related to pancreatic cancer.[1][4]
