Frank Erickson

Frank William Erickson (1923-1996) was an American composer, conductor, arranger, trumpet player, and author known for his extensive contributions to wind band literature, including over 150 works such as Air for Band, three symphonies, and a Symphonette. A Spokane, Washington native, he began learning piano at age eight and trumpet shortly after, and remained active as a composer, guest conductor, clinician, and lecturer until his death. He also authored books on band methods.
