Francois De Nome
François de Nomé, also known as Monsù Desiderio, was a French painter active in Italy, celebrated for his fantastical architectural scenes, ruins, and cataclysmic vistas. His works are considered precursors to the capriccio tradition, blending realistic detail with surreal invention. He spent most of his career in Naples, where he developed his distinctive style under the influence of late Mannerism and early Baroque.
