Francisco Blanco

Francisco Javier Blanco-Cestero was a Puerto Rican architect and founder of the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico (now Para la Naturaleza), established in 1969 to protect the island's natural resources. Born into a prominent family as the nephew of writer Tomás Blanco, he served as the Trust's first Executive Director under Governor Sánchez Vilella. Raised in Santurce and Miramar, he dedicated his career to environmental conservation.
