Francis Palgrave

Sir Francis Palgrave (born Francis Ephraim Cohen) was an English historian and archivist known for his work with the Public Record Office, where he served as Deputy Keeper from its founding in 1838 until his death. He is remembered for scholarly historical works including *History of England in Anglo-Saxon Times* and *The History of Normandy and England*.
