Francis Beaumont

Francis Beaumont was an English Jacobean playwright and poet, best known for his influential collaborations with John Fletcher on comedies and tragedies. His plays, including *The Knight of the Burning Pestle*, *Philaster*, and *The Maid's Tragedy*, helped shape early modern English drama.
