Frances Trevino

Frances Treviño Santos is a Texas-based poet and author known for her works exploring Latino culture and identity. Her publications include *Cayetana: Poems* (2007, Wings Press), *The Laughter of Doves* (2001, Wings Press), and the chapbook *Mama & Other Tragedies* (Pecan Grove Press). She has received awards such as the 2000 Premio Poesia Tejana and a 2001 grant from the Alfredo Cisneros del Moral Foundation, and was a member of the performance group 'Women of Ill-Repute: Refute!' from 1999-2002.
