Frances Power Cobbe

Frances Power Cobbe (1822–1904) was an Anglo-Irish writer, philosopher, and social reformer best known for her work in women’s suffrage, animal welfare, and anti-vivisection activism. She also wrote on religion, morality, and social issues, and was a prominent public intellectual in Victorian Britain.
