Frances McNeil

Frances McNeil is a British novelist, playwright, and scriptwriter from Yorkshire, known for her detective stories featuring First World War widow Kate Shackleton, written under the pen name Frances Brody. She has written scripts for radio, television, and theatre, as well as novels set in Leeds and Yorkshire. She taught at Bradford College from 1976 to 1981.
