Frances Dinkelspiel

Frances Dinkelspiel is an award-winning journalist and author who co-founded Cityside, the nonprofit news organization behind Berkeleyside, Oaklandside, and Richmondside.[2] She has written two acclaimed books: Towers of Gold about her great-great grandfather Isaias Hellman, a Jewish immigrant who shaped California,[3] and Tangled Vines, a New York Times bestseller about crime and obsession in California's wine country.[3] Her work has appeared in major publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Los Angeles Times.[2]
