Fodors
Eugene Fodor (1905-1991) was a Hungarian-American travel writer who revolutionized the travel guide industry by creating the first annually updated guidebooks for middle-class travelers. His guides provided not only practical travel information but also cultural, historical, and social insights into destinations worldwide. He founded Fodor's Modern Guides in Paris in 1949, which became one of the most influential travel publishing companies of the 20th century.
