Fernan Vargas

Fernan David Vargas is a lifelong martial artist, author, and founder of Raven Tactical Systems and Raven Tactical International, specializing in defensive tactics training for law enforcement, military, security, and civilians. He holds a Menkyo Kaiden in Bushi Satori Ryu, black belts and instructor rankings in Kuntao, Silat, Kuntaw, Jujutsu, and Hapkido, and has studied Native American fighting traditions and frontier combatives. Vargas earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Northeastern Illinois University and serves as a Safety Patrol Leader for the Chicago Chapter of the Guardian Angels.
