Felipe Benitez Reyes

Felipe Benítez Reyes is a Spanish poet, novelist, essayist, and translator born in 1960 in Rota, Cádiz, Spain. He is one of the most influential voices in contemporary Spanish literature, having won prestigious awards such as the Premio Nadal for *Mercado de espejismos* (2007), the National Book Award, and the National Critics Award for his poetry collection *Vidas improbables* (1996). He resides in Rota, Andalusia, with his wife, translator Silvia Barbero.
